Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6/18/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Regina Perata, doing business as Restoring Power ("I," "me," or "my"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit restoringpower.com or work with me. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.
I want to be especially clear about privacy, because many of the people who come here are navigating abuse, coercive control, and active legal situations. I take that seriously, and this policy is written with that in mind.
Who I am
I'm Regina Perata. I provide coaching, advocacy, community support, workshops, and speaking focused on coercive control and trauma recovery, under the name Restoring Power. If you have questions about this policy or your information, you can reach me at reginamarieperata@gmail.com.
What I collect
I collect information you give me directly and information that's gathered automatically when you use the site.
Information you give me includes your name, email address, phone number, and anything else you share when you book a call, request a free resource, join a community, fill out a form, or send me a message. When you download the free expert list or sign up to hear from me, I collect your email so I can send it and stay in touch if you've asked me to.
Information collected automatically includes your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you visit, and how you found the site. I gather this through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
How I use your information
I use your information to respond to you, schedule and provide my services, send resources you've requested, process payments, run the community, improve the site, and keep my work running. If you've opted in, I may send occasional updates or information about my services. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting me.
I do not sell your personal information. Given the nature of this work, I'm careful with it.
A note about the community
If you take part in a community space I run, such as a private group or Marco Polo group, please understand the difference between what I control and what I can't.
I will protect your information and keep your participation confidential on my end. What I can't fully control is what other members do. I ask all members to respect each other's privacy and keep what's shared inside the group confidential, but I can't guarantee the actions of every person in a group setting. Please share only what you're comfortable sharing, and never assume a group space is private in a legal sense. If you have concerns about how shared information might be used in a legal proceeding, talk to your attorney.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the site to work. Others help me understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it.
I may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to see things like which pages are visited and how people find the site. These tools may set their own cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Turning some off may affect how parts of the site work.
How I share information
I share your information only with service providers who help me run my business, and only as needed for them to do their work. These include my scheduling, email, community, and payment tools. They're required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to me.
I may also share information if the law requires it, such as a valid court order, or to protect someone's safety. If I'm ever legally compelled to share information, I'll limit what I disclose to what's required.
How I protect your information
I use reasonable measures to keep your information secure. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security, but I work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. You can opt out of emails at any time. To make a request, email me at reginamarieperata@gmail.com.
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data protection laws, you may have additional rights, including the right to access your data, ask me to correct or erase it, object to certain uses, or get a copy in a portable format. I'll honor those rights as the law requires. To exercise them, contact me at the email above.
Third-party links
The site may link to other websites I don't control. This policy doesn't cover those sites. I encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Children's privacy
This site is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given me their information, contact me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
